Keeping Processed Hair Soft (Not applicable to Russian Hair)
Wearing hair replacement system should be addressed just like your normal growing hair but in a more gentle way. We don’t want people to notice them as not part of our body; of course we want them to see our hair as if it is our natural growing hair therefore, care must given in order for the hair system to look and feel soft.
How can we do that when we know that the natural growing hair gets its softness from the Sebum? Once our growing hair has not been shampooed for a few days, you will notice that the hair becomes oily, that is because it is being coated by the Sebum, this is where we get the softness of the hair, it keeps the hair moisturized and strong as well.
Lack of it will mean otherwise, and the hair system will lose its natural oil by constant shampooing. Cleaning of the hair system will eventually remove any trace of Sebum left on the hair shaft of the hair system.
What can we do to maintain the softness of the hair system? As always this is the same problem the wearers of hair replacement system have to face. We do not want them to look and feel like misplaced wire. Luckily, there are some ways that will help maintain the softness of the hair.
What to do to keep the hair system soft.
- Give the hair system daily dose of Wig Luster. This will keep the hair system from becoming dehydrated and will keep the hair stronger, softer and healthy looking. Leave-in conditioners are best to use everyday.
What not to do with the hair system.
- Avoid daily and excessive shampooing. Shampoo the hair to a maximum of two times a week only for frequent shampooing will harm the hair system.
- You can always have a swim but constant swimming with exposure to chlorine will harm the hair system and make the hair look dull and hard.
- Do not blow dry the hair system for this will make the hair system dry and brittle.
