Q: What type of products can I use to upkeep my wig or my extensions?
A: Like for your own hair, you should avoid using products with a greasy base or ammonia base, because it can eventually damage the hair. For our wigs and extensions, we recommend the brand Biosilk which are the best products. You can find all products needed to wash and style your wigs.

Q: Can wigs and extensions be exposed to the sun?
A: Protect your wigs as you would your own natural hair. Long exposure to the sun can lighten processed or dyed human hair. Virgin hair however will not alter colors. Synthetic hair is not recommended to be in the sun during long periods and shouldn’t be exposed to any major source of heat such as the oven.

Q: What is the upkeep for a wig? Can I wash my wig?
A: Wash your wig as needed (if you wear it daily then you should wash it more often) with Biosilk Shampoo. Always rinse synthetic wigs with cold water. After the wash, you can gently remove the excess water and then let dry on a towel or on a stand. Use Biosilk silk therapy to give it shine and softness. Do not use any heat on synthetic hair. For human hair colored or virgin you can use warm water and wash with Biosilk shampoo and conditioner let dry naturally or style with a hairdryer and hot irons. You should not use the irons too often because it can eventually damage hair, just like your own hair. Use Biosilk silk therapy to give it shine and softness.

As with all products, hair-systems also have their bad days when they become a disaster. It is usually very difficult to get them back in order, that’s when a spare hairpiece would really come in handy. It is always great to have a backup, since most times the hair-systems may require professional help. Whether you have issues with an unruly front-hairline, tear repairs or spot cleaning, there are products designed to address these concerns and produce results that are effective. Never say no, there is always a solution.

A:
Well honestly, there is really nothing that can be done to prevent it, it is just an unfortunate event, but there is a remedy to restore the color. Wow! Well that is some good news, all is not lost. All that is required is for you to be alert and select the right products for use, in order to restore the hair color. There are sunscreen and color depositing conditions that can be used to demobilize the implications of the sunshine without applying treatments.

Q: Can I bleach the knots of hair-system at home?
A: Yes, this can be done. Once you have the appropriate products that will not ruin the system and you are educated on performing this technique, you are free to employ your skills. Some manufacturers usually will perform this task, but there are also bleaching kits that can be used. These are available in most of the hair care product stores or online stores that will offer assistance in getting the job done. There are even video tutorials that will help you through the step by step procedures.

Q: How will I be able to prevent my hair from capturing a lot of dirt and dust at the hairline?
A: This is rather impossible. Even if the hair is cleaned every day, airborne dust particles will actively stick to the hairline. However, the ProTouch Adjust-a-Bond or 99% Isopropyl Alcohol can aid with this concern, this is an issue that affects all hair-wearers.

Q: Is there anything that can be done for my dry, straw-like hair?
A:
Conditioners are highly recommended to reduce this problem. It is best to use leave-in conditioners and ensure that the hairpiece is maintained with sunscreen products. Use shampoos mildly, do not use blow dryers to dry the hair-system, let it dry naturally.

Q: Is there are way to prevent the hair strands from falling out on the pillow?
A: Hair loss in hairpieces is all about the bacteria and friction developed in the system. In order to minimize this occurrence, use leave-in conditioners that are rich in protein, use satin pillow-cases and avoid combing the hair excessively, friction and bacteria will be reduced.
